So, last night we went out to paint the town red (ha!). We started at a very nice restaurant where I had some grilled pork and rice noodles. I should of noticed something was wrong when I wasn't very hungry. After dinner the majority of our group went to the Sheraton rooftop for drinks. It's a gorgeous setting on a terrace overlooking the city. We then hopped over to blue gecco, an aussie ex-pat place. Apparently, our guide told us that some of the waitresses there also work as prostitutes. I wasn't terribly surprised after watching the ex-pats next to us try to pick up their waitresses.
By the time we got back to hotel, it was clear that something was wrong! Thank god for the cigarette bins outside the elevator!
Afterwards, I realized that I broke my 'no dairy in Asia' rule that I had learned from the Scott Yabiku Bangkok Mayonnaise Incident. I has a pineapple shake for lunch.....at what seemed like a perfectly fine place.
I'm still a bit delicate this morning....and what's trip to Asia without a little food poisoning! However, I don't think I'll be eating anytime soon!
