Cooking with gas

After the festival, some of us went to a local restaurant for a cooking class. We made five dishes, including a gorgeous lemongrass and garlic fish in banana leaf. The class was organized nicely, with each of us sharing the duties. I don't know if I'll be making the dishes anytime soon (a ton of ingredients for each recipe), but that fish was really tasty.

Just about everything we cooked was done with chopsticks--stirring, frying, flipping! Quite a versatile kitchen tool!

Our instructor had only been at the restaurant for five years. According to her, she spent the first two years learning how to cook and the next two years learning English so she could give cooking lessons.
